3rd October 1989 Organised the 1st Indonesian Petrochemical Business Conference, Theme :PETROCHEMICAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN INDONESIA, with 150 Attendants from the government as well as private sector

October 1990 Elected as IIIrd Chairman of the Federation of Indonesian Plastics Industry Associations (FIPLASIN), with the responsibility for Technological and Training activities of the Federation

10 – 12 September 1996 attended the 13th ISEI Congress (Indonesian Economists Association) in Medan to function as Co-referent by invitation of the Organizing Committee to comment on a Presentation on the Petrochemical Industry in Indonesia by an Indonesian Consultant.

17 March 1997 to respond to an invitation by the Ministry for Industry & Trade, Directorate General for Metal, Machinery & Chemical Industry functioned as Co-referent at the Co-ordination Meeting between Government and the Associations.

March 1997 established the Yayasan Petrokimia & Perplastikan (YPP) (Foundation for Petrochemicals & Plastics) which main activities are in education & training for personnel in the petrochemical & plastics sector.

20 – 22 March 1997 attended the Indonesian Gas Association (IGA) Domestic Gas Forum held at Surabaya.

14 September 1998 presented an invited lecture at the Polymer Chemistry Training, held at Palembang from 14 – 18 September 1998, as a cooperation between : The Faculty for Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the Sriwijaya University in Palembang, South Sumatra and the Japan Industrial Cooperation Agency (?).

19 October 1999 presented an invited paper “Perkembangan Industri Petrokimia berbasis Bahan Baku Lokal” (The Development of a Petrochemical Industry based on Domestic Raw Materials”) at the Meeting on Science and Technology of Materials 1999, organized by the National Nuclear Energy Institute at Serpong, Jakarta.
